We spent the night in the Hesnia room. The pictures don't do this hotel justice. Spacious rooms and quiet setting whilst walking distance to all main shops.
I was booked in for a one night stay in the Sapphire room.
The room overall had a great theme to it and looked sleek, elegant, comfy and simply just amazing. I give them a full 5 star overall đź‘Ťgreat service
Great location, right in the centre of town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Reception area is nice just to relax in (arm chairs, sofas etc) and is also the scene of breakfast.
Breakfast is good - small continental buffet plus good cooked menu.
Rooms are spacious, modern and trendy (is trendy a trendy word these days?!). Very modern decor and modern bathroom. Comfortable sleep and dark rooms.
Would recommend.
Wow what can I say?! Our stay was one night and we honestly wish we stayed more. We arrived and were greeted by the lovely gentleman at reception who assisted in booking a restaurant for the evening, and quickly checking us in as we had the wine tram to make. The wine tram is ideally located just a one minute walk (if that!) from the hotel, and the location is beautiful!
When we got to the room after the wine tram we were so amazed, it was absolutely stunning and the views outside to the mountains were just incredible. The room itself was super stylish and so tidy!
After a long day drinking at vineyards, we ended up going somewhere more local. Another member of staff who was at the reception at the time was so friendly and helpful when cancelling and telling us where else to go- another restaurant literally a couple steps away.
Finally the breakfast was delicious, I couldn’t believe how big the portions were! We absolutely loved our short stay here, the two gentlemen at reception couldn’t do enough for us, thank you so much- can’t wait for our return!
The location of the hotel is the best. Right in the middle of the town, with everything you need (restaurants, shops, Wine Tram start tours start point, etc.) being just a few steps away from the hotel.
I am very sensitive about sounds and the hotel rooms are very quiet. The hotel is not on the main road, and all of the guests' rooms are facing away from any sounds of the town's activities and they are overlooking the picturesque mountains of the Franschhoek Valley.
The rooms are spacious, clean and a nice contemporary style. The bedding is very comfortable. All the rooms have beautiful fireplaces, which are very efficient and create a very pleasant ambience, especially during colder winter days.
The staff are super friendly and very attentive, responsive and knowledgeable (in case you need advice on activities and dining recommendations). Breakfast is great, and coffee (individually prepared) is the best way to both start the day or to have a mid-day boost after touring.
The hotel is highly recommended!
A small boutique hotel with 6 rooms. The first floor has parking, the second floor has a lobby/breakfast restaurant, and all rooms are on the third floor.
All the rooms are decorated with different themes, but the room layout and the view are the same for all rooms. It's still a new, comfortable, refined interior and a beautiful time. The breakfast was also Ă la carte and the egg benedict I asked for was excellent.
In the centre of the city, you can walk to most restaurants, so it's convenient to drink wine. It ’s just one street, but the road ahead is one-way, so you need to go around to the parking lot.
The rooms are beautiful.
The hotel is well situated in the heart of town. The breakfast was a delight and the staff very helpful.
Have a fireplace in your room which makes it warm and cosy!
The bathrooms are luxurious and big...
Location - perfect - right next door to the wine tram ticket office.
Room - perfect - tastefully decorated with comfy beds and quality linen.
Bathroom - perfect (apart from maybe the frosted glass partition!!!) bath and large shower.
Breakfast - perfect - healthy and tasty.
Perfect spot for a weekend break right in the heart of Franschhoek.
Did I say this place was perfect?
Car parking is free underneath the property.
The rooms have really great decor, very well done indeed. The hotel offered good value for money and has a great location as it is right in the heart of Franschhoek, opening up onto the strip with shops and restaurants. Service was good as well.
We enjoyed our stay in this new hotel, built right in the middle of the quaint tourist town of Franschhoek. Definitely the right place to stay while touring the wine country of South Africa.
The room was trendy and deluxe. Staff service was friendly and attentive. We walked to shops & restaurants in either direction, with convenient parking located directly underneath the hotel.
Breakfast was included in our stay; it was delicious and available at our leisure in the lobby dining space.
